Started in 1995 in the garage of his home in Staten Island, NY; James Ferrara brings more than 30 years to the specialty coffee industry. He started in the coffee business at the ripe age of 17 and had a passion for coffee ever since. In the small garage he roasted small batches of gourmet coffee, serving to the top gourmet markets in New York establishing Unique Coffee as a premier supplier of Gourmet Coffee in New York City. With the help of his father they used two vans for storage, roasted coffee at night, delivered during the day, and doing sales while delivering coffee.

Unique Coffee quickly grew out of that small garage and moved into it's roasting and manufacturing facility. They purchased a state of the art roasting machine and continued delivering the quality and consitency that Unique Coffee was known for. In a facility where he never thought in his wildest dreams that he would grow out of he needed to take the next step and move into their current manufacting facility and corportate office.

Today Mr. Ferrara is joined by his son Joseph Ferrara and they continue to grow and provide the world with the finest gourmet coffee. Today they serve all 50 states, Canada, and several European countries. They strive and pride themselves in providing the finest gourmet coffee and tea in the market.
